SMTI utilizes classroom instruction, range and road driving, and practical application of skills used in highway transport driving.

With SMTI's proven 12 Step Training Program, you too can obtain your Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in as little as 17 days.

Student's at SMTI utilize our online practice exam area to reinforce classroom and road instruction as well as prepare for driving exam.

Authorization

SMTI is authorized for operation as a post secondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and financial responsibility.

Smokey Mountain Trucking Institute is a candidate for Accreditation by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
